ASSEMBLY TIPS
Not sure where to start? We've noted a few simple things to keep in mind before tackling the assembly of your new items.
1. HANDLING THE CARTON
Be sure when setting the carton down not to damage corners by placing it gently on the floor. For heavy cartons, use two people to lift.
2. OPENING THE CARTON
Try to avoid the use of a knife when opening cartons. Although manufacturers will use foam or other protective material to protect the goods, there is a high possibility of damaging surfaces or upholstery if the knife penetrates beyond the cardboard outer carton.
3. GETTING STARTED
- Before beginning the assembly process, use the assembly instruction manual to take an inventory of all items in the carton.
- Separate and organize all components.
- Clear ample floor space to carry out the assembly and ensure that the floor area is clean and free of any debris that may damage surfaces. A small nail or rock can cause considerable damage to surfaces. Using the cardboard outer carton as an assembly mat is a good idea.
- For heavy items it is advisable that they are assembled close to where they are to be displayed/used to avoid damage in transport.
4. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS
Always follow the assembly instructions and complete the step by step guide in the order shown.
