When the hubby and I moved to our first home, our intention was that one of the spare bedrooms would become my office.  Fast forward almost three years later (holy smokes time flies!) my so-called office did have my old desk from university in it, but definitely wasn’t a functioning space for me to get anything done.  Our “office” was more of a drop-off for things that didn’t have a place and or a space to quickly tuck things away before our guests arrive.    So, with the help of Jysk, I was able to transform my unorganized so-called space into a perfectly appointed office fit for a #‎girlboss‬ while staying within my budget!.

First off, I needed inspiration.  So I put together a pinterest pinboard to set up what I wanted the look, feel and colour of the space to be. At the end of the day, I wanted to create a space that was light and airy space and I felt inspired but on a budget.  Next, I went to my local Jysk to find what pieces I gravitated towards and it was all about the Desk and Chair. So, I created my own floor plan to figure out how I could mix some old pieces with my new digs from Jysk!

I kept to a super neutral pallet for my small space and left it up to the accessorizes to give the pops of colour for two reasons; It’s easy to get tired of strong vivid colours and Inexpensive accessories are so much easier to swap and throw into the mix to change things up!

For functionality, I snagged this white floor lamp for when I am pulling those all-nighters editing and writing for Rose City Style Guide.

Lastly, I scooped up a couple of frames I placed some inspiration prints in, a soft and cozy rug to keep my feet warm, some fresh flowers and new succulents to give some life and a lovely pouf for an ottoman, impromptu seat and accent.
